<p>Are you fascinated by the extent of some of the collections that a person has?  Do you love checking out other folks stuff when visiting their home or do you just love browsing places like antique shops, gift stores or even museums? <p>Pick out something that you love, but don’t overdo it.  Find out all the information you can about a type of collection your are interested in.  Collecting should be about the person who it is for.  Remember it is not easy to make a fortune by collecting stuff.  A collection is what you want it to be, and it could be anything from fine art paintings to <a href="http://myfrogcollection.com/collectible-frogs/">collectible frogs</a>, but the one thing collectors all have in common is their passion.  Collecting doesn&#8217;t have to be expensive, and the only cost for some collections is time.</p>

<p>Find a collectible that you like.  Anything can be collected.  It is just as good to have a beautiful collectible as it is to know the meaning that is attached to it.  The right collectibles are different for everyone.  The items you choose are not about how much they cost and they can be as inexpensive as you want.</p>

By seeing how much a retailer charges for something, you will understand whether you are saving money by shopping on the internet.</p>

<p>Buy a reference book.  Although book values can vary widely, books should document the history of an item or company and whether it is rare or common.  Finding the right book should help you understand part of the story about a collection.</p>

<p>Maintain a journal about where you purchased something and how much it cost.  There are many other benefits to writing down what is in your collection.  There are many different ways to keep a record.  Keep a record of what you paid, when you bought and where.</p>

<p>The great part of collecting is to show it to others.  It is also fun to go out and try to discover what has happened to items I have collected in the past and how they have eventually ended up in my hands.</p>
<p>And when it&#8217;s time to pare down or clean out a few pieces, I do sell stuff at time to time, but I also enjoy giving pieces away to friends and family.  Not all of them appreciate them as much as I do.  But I do get the enjoyment of telling the story that goes with the piece I am giving.  But I always hope that they will love it in the way that I do.</p>

<p><strong>Accept the fact that we cannot rely too much on our memories.</strong> </p>
<p>The human mind is exposed to a hurricane of information every day. As a result the mind does a very nice filtering process and very little of what we see and hear is retained in our minds. So instead of depending on our very selective memory, an improvement would be to depend on a piece of paper instead.</p>
<p><strong>Carry a tiny scribbling pad and a pen with you all the time.</strong> </p>
<p>The moment you fix an appointment or are asked to attend a meeting, improve yourself by jotting it down in the scribbling pad. Do not bother about others laughing at you. You will have the last laugh in the end.</p>
<p> It is crucial to have your goals lined up of what needs to be done for the day written down and do not do any other task until you have the goals for the day finished. Set up specific times to take at least 1 /2 hour breaks for yourself. This will keep you from getting stressed out and overwhelmed with your work. <p>The key to be able to get more done in less time is to know what needs to be done. Do not do any thing else until you have accomplished your work and do not let any thing interrupt your work.</p>
<p><strong>Plan what you have to do well in advance.</strong> </p>
<p>For staying organized, it is a good idea to have daily, weekly and monthly plans for the activities of your business and yourself personally as well. This will improve your ability to manage your time.</p>
<p><strong>Have a fixed timetable.</strong> </p>
<p>Although it may seem kind of mechanical, a fixed time for everything would make you more organized, especially if you stick steadfast to the time table. Believe me it really helps because in this way, you will have time for everything and everything can be done in the time allotted for it.</p>
